I love the changing seasons and the new fashions that they bring.

Currently, the sunshine, blue sky and seasonal flowers hint that perhaps Spring is not far away.

Meanwhile, across the Channel there's been Paris Fashion Week, where designers presented their Autumn/Winter 2014/15 ready-to-wear collections.

Saint Laurent and Louis Vuitton were my favourite collections.  Both were in a 1960's mood, but differently interpreted.

In his first collection for Louis Vuitton, Nicolas Ghesquière combined Sixties silhouettes with the frequent use of different leathers and textures on clothes, shoes and bags, emphasizing the Louis Vuitton legend of beautiful leather goods.

At Saint Laurent, Hedi Slimane's collection was evocative of London's Swinging Sixties. Little mini dresses (some sparkling with sequins), little coats and capes, were all worn with black opaque tights and knee-length kinky boots or Mary Jane shoes. The models wore makeup in the same mood - lots of black eyeliner, false eyelashes and mascara.  Hair was loose and swingy with fringes.

The fashion weeks in New York, London, Milan and Paris are all over and I'm left dreaming of those lovely Autumn looks from Dolce and Gabbana, Louis Vuitton and Saint Lauren,

but now, for the moment, it's time to think
