Last summer, there was alarming news about some brands of nail polish containing toxic ingredients. Toluene, formaldehyde and dibutyl phthalate were the worst offenders as they were linked to fertility problems and cancer.

The good news is that NATorigin, already known  for their excellent hypoallergenic makeup and skincare products, have launched a new product, NATorigin Nail Enamel.  This nail polish contains up to 83% natural-origin ingredients sourced from corn, potato, wheat and manioc.  It is definitely free from toluene, formaldehyde and phthalate.

NATorigin Nail Enamel is currently available in 12 beautiful colours.  For more details of colours and ingredients, please click on the link below.

I was delighted to receive a sample of NATorigin Nail Enamel in Lobelia (1405), a lovely candy pink, ideal for the Spring season ahead.

NATorigin Nail Enamel in Lobelia

It was easy to apply smoothly and two coats dried to a good shine. Generally, I find that nail polish for me only lasts two days but this one stayed on for four days before it began to chip.  Pricewise, it compares favourably with other good brands of nail polish, with the added advantage of being made from natural ingredients.  In my opinion this is a very good nail polish and priced at £11, I think it gives very good value for money.

Well done NATorigin - yet another excellent product!

I simply couldn't resist going back to Topshop to look again at the denim jackets with borg collars that I enthused about in my last post. I bought the PETITE MOTO Borg Western Jacket in the Washed Black Shade, as below.

The pure cotton denim jacket has a soft borg collar and lining.  As it's from the PETITE MOTO range, the proportions (especially the length of the jacket and the sleeves) fit me perfectly. This jacket is also made in Midstone Blue.  Similar jackets are available in regular and tall size fittings.

I know that I am going to love wearing this jacket pre-Spring and on chilly Spring days.  Having looked at pre-Fall 2016 collections, I noticed that there was a lot of shearling and sheepskin about and I think that this little jacket with it's white faux fur trimming is also going to be ideal for pre-Fall and onwards.....

IN MY NEXT POST COMING SOON: An exciting new product from NATorigin!

After an unusually mild November and December, the weather has now turned cold.  It's time to wrap up and wear a warm hat.  The great thing is that this season's fashion hit, the "must have" item, seems to be the faux-fur pom beanie. Here's my lovely new black one from Topshop.

In the mid-January chill, I am usually looking ahead to Spring fashion and makeup. Soon the new Spring makeup will appear on the beauty counters and designers will be presenting their Spring/Summer 2016 couture collections, but somehow, right now, I am very tempted by white faux-fur trimmed pieces at Topshop.  I love their denim jackets with white borg collars and linings and their tan suede lace-up ankle boots with a fold-down shearling collar. Could these be "Pre-Spring" pieces ideal to wear now and on into chilly early Spring?  I might be persuaded!!!
